Went out to run some errands and it's still HOT. I wanted to get some
stuff done before Pam gets home. Was going to get myself a birthday cake
but, I think I will save that for tomorrow. Thinking after the group
ride I will have a bday bbq but, we'll see. On the car radio while I was
out I heard a DJ call today fry-day and yeah it's dumb but it is true.
The huge flag.
It does't look huge in the picture but it has to be at least 2 stories
tall. The flag they are hanging over our street is for a fallen fireman.
A volunteer Malverne fireman was killed this week in a freak accident
with a fire truck. A very sad story that has been all over the news. The
funeral is today and the fire department has huge flags all down our
main street like the one you see here.
I didn't want to get too close in taking the picture. It's too sober of
an occassion for some kid with a cellphone cam to be taking snapshots.
