What I hate about the LIRR

What I hate about the LIRR is the way they call track numbers.

Metro-North they would call your train track long before it was time to
leave and you could even go to the track 10 or 15 minutes before you
were scheduled to leave and get a good seat. Also if the train wasn't
there you could wait and watch the track in air conditioning before
having to walk down to the train.

LIRR has maybe 2 places where you can watch the schedule board and stay
cool in A/C. However, your track is normaly displayed about 5 seconds
before it leaves and you get to do the mad dash to your train.

If it's not the mad dash it's the hot track like today. They called my
track 15 minutes before it was scheduled to leave (I should of known
something was wrong) so, went down on to the tracks to get on the train.
I got down to the extremely hot tracks (120 degree heat easily) and
there was no train. I got to stand and sweat in the heat and bake until
2 seconds before my train was scheduled to leave. That's when we got to
get on the train and fought for our seats.

Enough ranting the A/C is coolong me down.
At least I'm on a train and I'm headed for home and I won't need to
transfer to a school bus at any point of this trip today.

It's friday and I'm out early! I'd smile but, I look even more goofy
when I smile and I'm still a little heated from my rant.
