Hundreds Ride With 13-Year-Old Cody Alicea To Show Support For His Right To Display The American Flag On His Bike



13-year-old Cody Alicea made national headlines recently when school officials at Denair Middle School ordered him to take down the American flag on the back of his bike while he was on school property.  Apparently "some students" had been complaining about the flag.  Cody had just been trying to honor military veterans such as his grandfather Robert.  Well, it turns out that Cody's story struck a major chord with veterans across the United States.  As Cody rode his bike to school on Monday, he was accompanied by hundreds of other bikes and motorcycles.  After arriving at Denair Middle School, Cody and his patriotic escort recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem.  It was an extremely emotional day for everyone involved, and it showed that there are still Americans out there that are willing to stand up for the U.S. flag.
